By accessing or using Assessify ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

These terms apply to all users, including students, faculty, administrators, and visitors.

User Accounts

When you create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Ensuring your account information is current and accurate

Faculty accounts require administrative approval before access is granted.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to cheat, plagiarize, or engage in academic dishonesty
• Share test questions, answers, or test codes with unauthorized users
• Attempt to bypass security measures or lockdown features
• Use automated tools or bots to access the Service
• Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the system
• Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

Academic Integrity

Assessify is designed to support academic integrity. By using the Service, you agree to:

• Complete all assessments honestly and independently unless otherwise instructed
• Not share test content with others before, during, or after taking a test
• Not use unauthorized materials or assistance during secure assessments
• Accept that security monitoring (tab switching, window focus) may be recorded
• Understand that violations may result in test termination and reporting to your institution

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content remain the exclusive property of Assessify and its licensors.

• Platform Content: All UI, branding, and platform features are owned by Assessify
• AI-Generated Content: Tests generated by AI are provided for educational use
• User Content: You retain ownership of content you create (course materials, custom questions)
• Student Work: Student answers and submissions belong to the respective students and institutions

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Assessify shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, grades, or academic records
• Service interruptions or technical issues
• Actions taken based on AI-generated content
• Third-party services or integrations

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. We recommend regularly backing up important data.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for any reason, including:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Academic integrity violations
• Request from your educational institution
• Extended period of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may request your data before account deletion.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via:

• Email notification to your registered address
• Prominent notice on our website
• In-app notification

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
